Activision has unveiled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 4.
Launching on May 29 at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST across all platforms, the new season includes fresh multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone content.
On the multiplayer front, Season 4 will add three brand new, mid-sized 6v6 maps, as well as a Das Haus Vortex variant. New maps at launch will include Tokyo and Paris, while Incline will arrive mid-season.
Tokyo is a neon battleground “featuring late night shopping, entertainment, and accommodations for the weary traveler”, according to Activision.
Paris is dominated by two main buildings, the central Police Station and Gallery, but also features smaller interior spaces such as Bookstore and Shop.
Incline is billed as “an isolated research outpost in the mountains of Urzikstan… based in and around the main transport facility”.
New game modes will include Demolition and Hyper Cranked at launch, and Havoc and Headshots Only mid-season.
Havoc is “inspired by classic arena-shooter gameplay, with additional enhancements courtesy of a random selection of chaos-inducing modifiers”.
New Perks include the Mission Control Vest and Compression Plate, while new Killstreaks include Intelligent Munitions Systems, Loitering Munition, Missile Drone and DNA Bomb.
Zombies will receive a mid-season update which challenges players to “learn the secret entrances to the Unstable Rift and face intense waves of zombie hordes until every undead entity is slain, or your team is overwhelmed.”
In Warzone Season 4, “combat across Urzikstan, Rebirth Island, Fortune’s Keep and Vondel continues, and though no major points of interest appear to have changed, the discovery of a mysterious DNA Bomb at Popov Power leaves you and your squad little time to discover incoming threats,” according to Activision.
“This truth may not be immediately obvious, but as the season progresses, additional discoveries may cause a significant shift in your plans…”
