Welcome back to a ton of savings, not the least of which being the cheapest chop on Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut yet. Is this port any good? Well, yeah—the Steam release has beaten out God of War Ragnarok to become PlayStation's biggest solo game Steam launch. More anecdotally, I loved revisiting it as it reminded me just how brilliant Sucker Punch's low-HUD, high Kurosawa approach is compared to the Ubi-esque Rise of the Ronin.
In retro news, I'm celebrating the 14th birthday of my huckleberry, the rootin' tootin' Red Dead Redemption. To tell the tale true, I've got vivid memories of my launch ride being a bumpy one—where the low end of bugs were freezes and the spectacular high watermark belonged to Donkey Ladies (rideable NPCs spawned with human bodies and ass faces). Patched-out nightmare fuel aside, RDR became a blessed Western odyssey and another notch in Rockstar's gunbelt for touchstone gaming experiences. Us veteran cowpokes still swap campfire stories about our "riding to Mexico" moments.
