Warning! Spoilers ahead for Dark Knights of Steel #5
The latest issue of DC's Dark Knights of Steel further proves that the powers of one DC villain are truly god-tier on another level. In an alternate timeline where the DC heroes and villains fans know are living in a medieval era, the various kingdoms of the realm are preparing to go to war. While some heroes such as Wonder Woman are looking to prevent the coming conflict, others are looking to broker new alliances to secure a victory. As such, this new issue sees Princess Diana facing none other than Poison Ivy, the Lady of the Forest who wields incredible powers she likely has in the main continuity as well.
In previous issues of Dark Knights of Steel from writer Tom Taylor with art by Yasmine Putri, King Jor-El has been murdered by the Green Man, the same Lex Luthor/Joker hybrid wielding a Green Lantern ring who killed Thomas and Martha Wayne years earlier. While Prince Kal-El is prepared to take his father's throne, it's also been revealed that Bruce Wayne's Dark Knight has a claim to it as well, being the secret second of Jor-El who had an affair with Martha. Meanwhile, the Kingdom of Storms has been held responsible for unleashing the Green Man, a move that threatens imminent war after Supergirl seemingly killed King Jefferson's son as well as Jefferson himself. While the Island of the Amazons has long been an ally to the Kingdom of Storms, Wonder Wonder is hoping to broker peace between the kingdoms that have already suffered major losses.
