The “Sith legs” of Darth Maul have become their own villain in a popular Star Wars meme posted on Twitter. Strangely, Star Wars comics jokingly already introduced the concept of the sentient Sith legs, as imagined in the original artist’s depiction.
After Darth Maul was cut in half by Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, he returned in The Clone Wars. Finding refuge in a junkyard, he managed to gain robotic legs. When he finally left the planet, he vowed to find Kenobi and take revenge. However, fan art imagines that the Sith’s lower half has a life of their own, with a similar mission.

Or, as the comic puts it, «Crazy Sith legs running around by themselves ready to deal out a good kicking?”
The fan art is reminiscent of the character designs first revealed forStar Wars: The High Republic, which
