As originally reported by Uproxx, a fan who wrote into Marvel’s Star Wars comics and unintentionally predicted Princess Leia’s connection to the Skywalker family. The letter published in the back of an issue mentioned that Luke and Leia “act more like young brother and sister than sweethearts.” The reader criticized the lack of romantic tension between them, as it wasn’t apparent inA New Hope or the comic book tie-in. Initially written in 1979, the letter predates The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, which went onto reveal Luke and Leia as twin siblings. At the time, Lucas had yet to incorporate their connection into the saga.
