A new Horizon Forbidden West update has been released.
Version 1.09 (see full patch notes below) introduces over 30 bug fixes and improvements, including fixes for players spawning outside of Cauldron Kappa, and issues handing in Black Boxes.
Guerrilla Games has also provided a list of known issues it’s looking into, which include ongoing efforts to reduce visual shimmering.
And the studio has published a separate update on the work it’s carried out to address image quality issues some players have been experiencing, which it said were especially visible on certain TVs in the game’s jungle areas.
Guerrilla has advised players to ensure their TV is set up correctly to support the game. As well as setting TVs to ‘Game mode’ if applicable, players should switch off any ‘sharpening’ filter on their TV, which may even be active in ‘Game Mode’, and use the default setting of their TV, avoiding any changes that impact ‘Contrast’, ‘Vibrancy’ or ‘Saturation’.
