Tournament
In an old iteration of Plunderstorm, Plunderstorm may have been in the lore as a tournament. Many spells seem to reference this as a tournament:
- Bandages, Bandages, Bandages — Start with a random medical item when the tournament begins.
- Receive personal quest objectives at the start of the tournament that grant bonus experience.
- You will be kicked from the tournament if you remain Inactive.
- Start with a random medical item when the tournament begins.

In the release of Patch 10.2.6, many «new» class spells were datamined that follow the same format as current Plunderstorm spells. It seems at one point, Blizzard may have tried to do class spells for Plunderstorm before moving to the general abilities system. Here are a few examples, but there are utility spells listed for every class.

Many other Offensive spells have been found in the data which are likely old. Many reference Spell Power (SP), when all of the current abilities use Attack Power (AP). Some seem to be class inspired while others are more general. Here are some examples:
