After over a decade of development, the gorgeous stop-motion narrative adventure Harold Halibut has finally arrived. For the most part, the game doesn’t focus that heavily on puzzles and guides you by the hand through its story, but there still are a few parts in the game where you might find yourself a bit lost.
Midway through Chapter 4 of Harold Halibut, with 45 in-game days left, the very guided approach of the rest of the game opens up a bit as you’re required to complete a couple of tasks for researcher Brigitte. One of these tasks is finding a special adapter so you can plug all the cords into Brigitte’s equipment. This requires a few steps, but don’t worry, we’re here to walk you through it…
As you wake up in Chapter 4-2 with 45 days left, you’ll be tasked with “finding something to do” without any of the usual guidance as to what that might be. So, now what? Well, what you need to do is head to the Flumylyn Cave where your fishy alien friends live. Upon exiting the tube in the cave, head down the steps, then to the west through the semi-hidden passage to the place where the “Crack” is. Talk to Brigitte and she’ll give you a pair of tasks to complete – “Find the missing adapter” and “Set up a Broadband Connection.” Here’s how to do the former.
Head to the Energy District and talk to Slippie. He’ll ask for help connecting a hose to the machine his messing around with.
This is a fairly simple minigame. Interact with the blue handle to open the case, then place the hose in the hole, then finally, grab the lever on the side and pull it up.
Once you’ve helped Slippie (and received the “Luke Warm” trophy for your trouble) you’ll receive a message from a mysterious “Filter Frankie.”
I won’t spoil what happens next, but head to the Water Filtration Station, and you’ll receive the adapter. Take it back to Brigitte in the cave.
And there you go! One of Brigitte’s two tasks, completed!
