A teaser of Spider-Man: No Way Home's gag reel shows stars Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield having a blast together on set. The film was a massive hit, earning $1.877 billion globally. No Way Home surpassed Avatar at the domestic box office, becoming the third-highest grossing movie in the U.S., trailing only Avengers: Endgame and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. No Way Home's performance was noteworthy for revitalizing theater attendance amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The third solo entry for Holland's iteration of Spider-Man finds his webslinger outed and Peter Parker publicly reviled. In an attempt to correct things, Peter enlists the help of Doctor Strange, who casts a spell to make the world forget Peter is Spider-Man. The spell goes awry, opening the prime MCU timeline to the multiverse. Characters from Sony's previous Spider-Man film franchises had key roles, including Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield reprising their iterations of Peter. Though Holland was nervous to meet his predecessors, he wanted Maguire in Garfield in No Way Home as much as possible. It's clear why, as the three past and present Peter Parkers had an undeniable chemistry that was a highlight for viewers to watch.
