Sony Pictures has now released a behind-the-scenes reel of how the meme was created, and how much fun the actors had when bringing it to life.
For months fans speculated whether Garfield and Maguire would in fact make an appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Many were convinced that it was going to happen, while others looked for clues in posters, trailers, and leaked set photos. The Spider-Man meme became the tool of choice when fans discussed theories of a live-action Spider-Verse. Clearly Sony was paying attention, as after the release of Spider-Man No Way Home, a live-action version of the Spider-Man meme was recreated by the actors.
