Will Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man 4 Happen? Moon Knight Producer Hopes So
Tobey Maguire hasn't had a solo Spider-Man outing since 2007's Spider-Man 3, but Moon Knight producer Grant Curtis hopes that Spider-Man 4 does eventually happen. For many fans, Maguire is the original Spider-Man. The 2002 film directed by Sam Raimi introduced Maguire's take on the character and would be followed by the critically acclaimed Spider-Man 2 and the divisive Spider-Man 3. Talk has long since swirled of a Spider-Man 4 with Maguire and, at one point, the film was in the early stages of development, but Sony ultimately made the decision to can the project.
With Maguire's recent appearance in Tom Holland's Spider-Man: No Way Home, talk has once more been rejuvenated regarding another solo movie for the original Spider-Man actor. Much is left up to the imagination in terms of what Maguire's character has been up to for the last decade or so and many fans are understandably eager to explore a slightly older and more mature take on his Spider-Man. With Raimi returning once more to the MCU to direct the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, many are holding out hope that the two can reunite to continue the story of Maguire's Peter Parker.

In a new interview with Gizmodo (via The Direct), Curtis, whose show, Moon Knight, hits Disney+ today, explains that there were a lot of story threads within Maguire's three solo movies that did not get explored. Curtis hopes that those stories do eventually get to see the light of day and that Maguire's Spider-Man journey continues. Check out Curtis' full comment below:
