Spider-Man: No Way Home actor Alfred Molina admits that his reunion with Tobey Maguire made him cry. Spider-Man: No Way Home was the 2021 smash hit for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film marks the third standalone Spider-Man film for the MCU, and follows the titular web-slinger (Tom Holland) as he must deal with the fallout after Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) performs a spell which goes wrong and opens a door to the Multiverse. Since the film's release, it has received rave reviews from both critics and fans, and has gone on to smash box office records.
Part of the draw of the movie for many fans is the fact that opening the Multiverse allowed for characters from previous iterations of the world of Spider-Man to find their way into the MCU. Not only do actors Maguire and Andrew Garfield (who appeared in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy and The Amazing Spider-Man series respectively) return as their versions of Spider-Man, but many villains return as well. Among them, fans were treated to the reappearance of Molina's Doc Ock, Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin and Jamie Foxx's Electro which created many reunions on screen and off.

In a recent interview on the podcast Household Faces with John Ross Bowie, Molina has admitted that his reunion with Maguire (who, of course, was his Spider-Man) was particularly emotional. According to Molina, during the scene where there two characters meet again (after Doc Ock died in Spider-Man 2 no less) he found himself getting quite teary at the reunion.
