Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon react to their original Marvel Cinematic Universe auditions on the heels ofSpider-Man: No Way Home's success. The trio was at the center of the latest Marvel Studios and Sony blockbuster as Peter Parker dealt with the ramifications of his superhero persona getting revealed to the public. But as the first MCU Spider-Man trilogy comes to an end, they look back on getting their journey started in the franchise through their respective audition videos.
After Marvel Studios introduced Holland's Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War, he went on to star on his first solo film in Jon Watts' Spider-Man: Homecoming from 2017. The film also introduced Zendaya's Michelle Jones, aka MJ, and Batalon's Ned Leeds. Several years later following the arrival and eventual defeat of Thanos (Josh Brolin), the trio reunited in Spider-Man: Far From Home. And in 2021, they assembled for the third time in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The gang has gone through a lot in the last five years, and before they enter a brand new chapter in Spider-Man's story, they reminisce on how their MCU arcs began.

In celebration of Spider-Man: No Way Home's arrival on Blu-ray and digital, Holland, Zendaya, and Batalon sit down to react to their original Marvel auditions. For context, Holland was trying out for Joe and Anthony Russo, who cast the actor as the wall-crawler for Captain America: Civil War.
