The last few weeks have seen a number of companies hosting major events with several new announcements, with the likes of Sony, Microsoft, Ubisoft, and more all having had their own showcases. Nintendo, of course, has been a notable omission, though it seems the Japanese publisher might be having its own show soon as well.
That’s as per hits dropped by prominent insider NateTheHate, who has said in a couple of recent tweets that we might be seeing a new Nintendo Direct sometime this month. In another tweet, the insider has seemingly suggested that the Direct will be happening sometime between June 20 and June 26.
Interestingly, others have also added fuel to the fire where this leak is concerned. Journalist Jeff Grubb recently said on his Game Mess Decides podcast that it’s likely that a Nintendo Direct will happen sometime this week, in addition to another Nintendo event sometime in July, which aligns with what he said earlier this month. Meanwhile, IGN’s Daemon Hatfield also dropped a similar hint on a recent episode of the Game Scoop! podcast, saying that a Nintendo even might be happening sometime this week.
Of course, until such time something gets confirmed, it’s best to take this with a grain of salt, especially since Nintendo is involved- and you can never be too sure of any leak with Nintendo. It should also be interesting to see what the scope of this Direct will be, if it does end up happening, what with previous reports that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was going to be Nintendo’s final major release for the Nintendo Switch (though we do have Pikmin 4 coming up next month).
Anywhere from a 6.20% to 6.23% chance of a new Nate the Hate episode airing.
