ArcheAge has dropped a new competitive mode, Naval Arena: Stillwater Gulf, this week, bringing players to the high seas to do battle.
The Naval Arena: Stillwater Gulf takes place now through August 3rd, and will feature Clipper-based combat for up to 50 players at a time. Players will be required to stay on their Clippers for the duration of the event, with all active buffs and debuffs voided during the event to give everyone a level playing field.
The arena doesn't just pit players against each other, but there are also monsters lurking beneath the waves to worry about as well. Defeating these monsters will give supplies to can aid players in their battle against each other.
The Clippers themselves will have special skills to use in the Naval Arena, including an ability to lay down a trap for unsuspecting enemy Clippers, fire off some barrel bombs, or even summon a Frost Wave to slow down enemies.
You'll need to be at least level 30 to participate, and while there's no limit to the amount of times you can join the fray, there are limitations on how many rewards you can earn per day. You can check out all the details on the ArcheAge website.
ArcheAge 2 is currently in development, though it's been a while since we've really heard anything definitive from XLGames. However, it's supposed to be coming out in 2024. Kanishka broken down why he thinks ArcheAge 2 could actually breath some life back into the franchise.
