War Thunder has some new aircraft today to celebrate Bastille Day, and a new event that brings the combat robots from FPS Atomic Heart into the game.
The Bastille Day aircraft are two new premium French jets. They are available for Golden Eagles from today through July 17th at midnight GMT. Bastille Day is a national holiday in France that marks the 1789 storming of the Bastille against the monarchy and has been celebrated since 1880. The French jets are the Milan, and the S.O. 4050 Vautour IIN. These are capable of raining bombs and defending teammates when you need to.
There is a new decal available as a gift for Bastille Day, the “Cocarde de France” decal is available by playing three battles using French vehicles of rank 3 or higher.
The special collaboration event with Atomic Heart is now live in War Thunder. Running through July 31st, robots will be on the battlefield with armored vehicles and helicopters featured from the Cold War era and hailing from the USSR and the USA in Test Facility 2271.
In field tests featuring the robots, testing personnel--AKA players--gets split into two teams, East and West. Everyone will be able to access a number of predetermined vehicles, in addition to some of the key robots like HOG-7 Hedgie and WSP-9 Laser Pchela. Some players will have infantry fighting vehicles, tanks, and helicopters, the others will be able to deploy the robots.
The event runs through July 31st, but there are battle tasks that run for different lengths of time. Some of them will disappear after only two days, and some start on a specific day in the event. and run through the end of the month.
