The RuneScape team delivered on its promised first big reveal for the upcoming Necromancy skill. Not only will Necromancy be a new combat skill, it will be an all-new combat style.
Necromancy will be a non-elite combat skill that will go to level 120 for members and level 20 for free to play players.
Jagex revealed earlier this month that Necromancy will also be accompanied by its own full season when it arrives. Revealing that it is also the first new combat style ever added, and the fourth overall, continues to emphasize just how big this all is.
Necromancy will have its own weapons, incantations, and abilities. As the fourth combat style, according to Mod Ryan, “it sits outside the combat triangle. Necromancy will also use incantations and there will be four new ruins added to help you use your skills.
With the addition of a brand new combat style, in addition to all the tutorials that they are planning, and the fact that everyone learning Necromancy will be learning together, the upgrade system will let you get up to 90 by doing Necromancy narrative story content. You don't even have to participate in combat to level and master Necromancy. You can use rituals to level, via Skilling, all the way to 120. For those more advanced players who want a deeper challenge, that will be a rewarding option.
You’ll also spend time repopulating an initially empty city of Um. You’ll free
