Atlas Fallen gameplay overview trailer shows combat styles and world traversal

Atlas Fallen has received a gameplay overview trailer, courtesy of Focus Entertainment, which delves further into some of the systems players will be using. The video covers elements such as the different combat weapons and styles you can use, how to traverse the world of Atlas, the Gauntlet, and co-op play too.

In the world of Atlas Fallen, humanity has been stripped of everything by the sun god Thelos. Thelos has enslaved humanity to make them worship him, and mine for Essence to offer him. However, your character finds a gauntlet and is imbued with power that can shift the tide against Thelos, and give a hope of freedom. The world will know the main character as the Gauntlet Bearer as a result of the power they wield.

That power includes access to three different weapon types, those being the Dune Cleaver, Sandwhip, and Knuckledust. There are over 100 essence stones that each grant different abilities, both active and passive, to mix and match in fights. Some essence stones can be more effective against certain enemy types, but there are plenty of options to experiment with. As fights go on the Gauntlet Bearer’s power builds, allowing for devastating attacks. This leads into co-op, which is available through the whole campaign as a drop in and drop out system. In co-op combat, players can combine their fight styles to pull off different combinations, again leading to powerful attacks. The large world is also easy to navigate thanks to the ability to glide across the sands with ease.

An Atlas Fallen Limited Edition was also confirmed. It includes, the game on the platform of your choice, with physical copies for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S and Steam code for PC, the game’s official steelbook, a metal poster, and the Ruin
