When it comes to NBA 2K22 and its various online modes, nothing beats opening up a pack to reveal a Dark Matter card. Considered to be one of the holy grails of the game's online mode, one of these cards can give a player's team a significant boost and an advantage against opposing teams.
Last month, 2K Games revealed the first-ever free Dark Matter card as the reward for reaching level 40 of the current season in MyTeam, marking the first time a card of this rarity became obtainable for free. While the newest addition to the collection is only available by opening packs, gamers are racing to the NBA 2K22 marketplace to try and pick it up.

After a 60-point performance on Monday night, Karl-Anthony Towns' efforts gave the Minnesota Timberwolves a wild 149-139 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. Originally a Dynamics Ratings card, the boost to the new rank also brings his overall rating up to 99.
The constant flow of content hitting NBA 2K22 has not only kept interest in the game but the amount of revenue it makes as well, thanks in large part to their MyTeam mode.
