Cult horror director Rob Zombie shares a throwback post featuring behind-the-scenes images from his 2005 film The Devil’s Rejects. The low-budget, R-rated movie was the middle-part of Zombie’s Firefly Trilogy, along with House of 1000 Corpses and 3 From Hell. The Devil’s Rejects followed the violent rivalry between the murderous Firefly family and the ruthless Sheriff Wydell.
Now, almost 20 years after production on the underground classic was underway, Zombie reveals some recently rediscovered pictures from The Devil's Rejects set. In a post to his Instagram followers, the director shares several Polaroid pictures of the cast enjoying their time behind the scenes. Among them, a fully costumed Sid Haig (the iconic star of the trilogy) and Zombie’s wife, actor Sheri Moon Zombie (who played Baby). Paired with the pictures is the caption, “4 random behind the scenes pics from 2004 of shooting The Devil’s Rejects. Good times.” Check out the original post below:

The fan-favorite trilogy concluded in 2019, with lead actor Haig sadly passing away the same year. While there aren’t currently any plans to continue the story of the Firefly family, Zombie’s next project is a movie reboot of the 1960s series The Munsters. With production ongoing on the whacky remake, Zombie has been continually teasing fans with behind-the-scenes images, including a recent first look at his version of 1313 Mockingbird Lane, the iconic Munsters family home. Zombie’s Firefly trilogy may be complete, but The Devil’s Rejects remains something fondly remembered by its fans and creator alike.
