The next installment in the Sniper Elite franchise is going to be here sooner than some might have expected after the game's developers announced its release date. As a bit of a bonus for Xbox users, those who are anxiously awaiting its arrival will be able to play Sniper Elite 5 on Xbox Game Pass the same day it launches on all platforms.
The Sniper Elite franchise has set itself apart from other shooters over the years because users can take out their enemies up close and personal. However, they can also aim down the sites and try and take out their opponents from a safe distance. The fact that the series offers some pretty gruesome kills for those who can master the mechanics to the sniper shots has won the franchise a bit of a cult following. Now, with the announcement that it's going to be on Game Pass, it has a chance to gain more followers when it arrives later this spring.
Xbox Game Pass Picks Up Indie RPG Weird West As A Day One Release
Sniper Elite 5 developer Rebellion announced on Twitter that its new game is going to be arriving on May 26. It was announced back in December that when it did arrive, it would be launching on Xbox Game Pass on day one. The game is also expected to launch on the PlayStation and PC.
Sniper Elite 5 is set in 1944 France and will see players joining part of a US military operation near Brittany. Missions will center around a top-secret Nazi project called Operation Kraken, an Operation foreboding enough to the allies that failing to stop it would guarantee the end of World War 2 and a victory for Hitler's Nazi party.
