Recent Mortal Kombat games have been full of personality, with pre-fight banter added in Mortal Kombat X. Unsurprisingly, Mortal Kombat 1 is no exception, with fighters using the time before the arena loads to trade barbs with one another. Well, "trade" might be a strong word, because now, they actually only get a line each before the fight begins.
This has disappointed fans, who feel like a couple of lines before a fight to the death just doesn't have the sting that we're used to. Many are saying that, so far, it seems like Mortal Kombat 11's dialogue is still superior, with what we've seen in gameplay demos just not having the depth of the previous two games.

"Does anyone else think that the dialogue system was way better in MKX and 11?" asks Reddit user SixEightAKS. A whole lot of fans agree, saying that cutting the pre-fight dialogue from three lines to just two is a mistake.
Fans are also using it as an opportunity to share their favourite exchanges from the previous games, fearing that we won't get banter on this level with Mortal Kombat 1's restrictions. However, none of them have highlighted the actual best bit of dialogue from Mortal Kombat 11, which is obviously:
