Mortal Kombat 2 Photo Features New & Returning Cast Members
The first photo for New Line Cinema’s fantasy action sequel has been released by producer Todd Garner.
The photo featured returning cast members Ludi Lin and Jessica McNamee from the 2021 film, as they’re joined by new castmates, including Karl Urban, Adeline Rudolph, and more. This comes after the project recently began its production after two years since the release of the first installment.

Mortal Kombat 2 is being directed by Simon McQuoid from a screenplay written by Moon Knight head writer Jeremy Slater. Further details about the next installment’s plot are still being kept under wraps. It is produced by James Wan, Michael Clear, Todd Garner, and E. Bennet Walsh.
The sequel will feature the return of Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han and Sub-Zero, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi and Scorpion, and Max Huang as Kung Lao.
The action sequel will also introduce a number of new characters in the form The Boys star Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Adeline Rudolph (Resident Evil) as Kitana, Tati Gabrielle (You) as Jade, Martyn Ford (F9) as emperor Shao Kahn, Mindhunter’s Damon Herriman as Netherrealm demon Quan Chi, Desmond Chiam (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) as Edenian King Jerrod and Ana Thu Nguyen (Get Free) as Queen Sindel.
