Black Desert Celebrates Land of the Morning Light, Opens Up Festa Event and More

Pearl Abyss is celebrating some events and the recent release of Black Desert Online’ s Land of the Morning Light expansion.

Black Desert Festa is open today, with a festival open in Heidel where you can earn yourself some new rewards from now through July 19th. Heidel Arena is decorated for the celebration and you will be able to earn yourself Festa coins to exchange for a series of rewards. There are a number of challenges to undertake, including the Festa special challenge, special coordinated items in the Pearl Shop, and more. 

Land Of The Morning Light received much critical acclaim, and is currently sitting at 82/100 over on MetaCritic. Pearl Abyss released a special accolades trailer following the release and to promote the ongoing special sale discounting all game packages by 50%, including the base game at $4.99. 

This weekend will also bring a special Black Spirit questline for the Black Shrine where you can take on and defeat bosses that are vulnerable to the Moon Aura at your desired Calamity level using the new system. 

The new Boss Blitz system in Black Desert Online arrived with the Land of the Morning Light expansion content, letting you take on bosses and pick your difficulty level via Calamity level. This new event will count only bosses that you defeat through the Black Shrine questlines and not the main quests. This event runs from July 2nd through July 12th.

Another event that is still running celebrates Pearl Abyss’ one year of global service as an independent publisher for the entire Black Desert f ranchise. Through July 12th, you can complete some special quests from the Black Spirit to earn a Blood-eyed visor and Blood-eyed earrings. There’s also a world map prepared by Kakuo Quest
