Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis has received an ESRB Rating, indicating that it is coming to PC.
This is a mobile gacha game that tries to retell the entire Final Fantasy 7 story, including its expansions, as well as some original new segments, in a simplified, beginner friendly manner. At its core, Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis is still an action RPG.
The gacha elements are fully integrated to work with the game’s traditional RPG grind, so that you can play through the game without even spending a cent. Of course, the flip side to this is that paying for gacha will help you advance to the story much more quickly.
This review from Noisy Pixel notes that this released at a precarious time for Square Enix’s mobile gaming initiatives, as they have already cancelled many of their other mobile titles. That Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis is getting a transition to PC suggests that Square Enix is dead set in ending their current mobile gaming run, and that they have enough faith in this game in particular to bring it to PC.
