Metroid Prime Remastered could soon be getting its own line of player icons available through Nintendo Switch Online. Metroid Prime Remastered has been one of Nintendo's biggest releases of the year thus far and continues to gain popularity with Switch owners.
Nintendo Switch Online is the paid online subscription service for Nintendo Switch. It is primarily used to give players access to features like online play, save data backups, and access to select legacy games on consoles including SNES, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy. It also lets players spend Platinum Points gained through My Nintendo to unlock a number of player icons based on Nintendo properties such as last month's line of Nintendo 64 Nintendo Switch Online player icons.
Gamers Are Having a Hard Time Finding Metroid Prime Remastered Physical Copies
Twitter user RevolutionRidly may have insight into what new icons fans can expect. They revealed that Japanese Nintendo Switch players appear to have gotten an email teasing the release of Nintendo Switch Online icons based on Metroid Prime Remastered which include Samus, Meta Ridley, and Samus' Gunship. They state that these icons will be available from March 3 to March 17 and could potentially release across two waves. This would be the second piece of Metroid Prime Remastered content that fans can obtain using Platinum Points, the first of which being a My Nintendo contest that gives fans the chance to win a Metroid Prime Remastered jacket.
