A proper Metroid Prime 4 reveal could be coming very soon, judging from some recent findings that suggest how the game could be in an advanced state of development.
As reported by SuperMetalDave64 in a YouTube video shared earlier this month, playtesting for the fourth entry in the series by Retro Studios has been conducted since March 2023 using the Jira software by a tester who also worked on a few entries in the Call of Duty series. As playtesting has been going on for over 10 months, there's a very good chance the game may be ready to be shown for real for the first time since its announcement years back.
This isn't the first time we heard that Metroid Prime 4 is in an advanced state of development, but it is the first time that substantial evidence backing this was found. Last month, it was said that the game is being delayed due to low cutscenes quality. Additionally, the game is still targeting the original Nintendo Switch, although it wouldn't be improbable, at this point, for it to become a Nintendo Switch 2 launch title as well if the new console indeed launches this year.
Metroid Prime 4 is now in development for Nintendo Switch. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more come in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
