After a long hiatus, the Metal Gear franchise is finally coming back, with Konami recently having announced Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. Of course, there’s still plenty that we don’t yet know about the MGS3 remake, with Konami only having shown a brief CG trailer for it so far, but the game does continue to show signs of movement.
Recently, for instance, the official PlayStation Store and Xbox Store pages for the remake went live. Brief details on the title are shared in both, with Konami once again touching on its “unprecedented new graphics” and the “immersive” stealth gameplay, though not much else is shared.
Being co-developed by Konami and Virtuos, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be using the story and voice performances from the original game without any changes. It has also been confirmed that series creator Hideo Kojima and art director Yoji Shinkawa haven’t been involved in the remake’s development.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. As per leaks, the game is targeting a 2024 launch. Prior to that, Konami will release Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 later this year.
