Warning: Spoilers ahead forMs. Marvel episode 6!
Ms. Marvel's ending mutant reveal implies that two huge X-Men rumors could happen in The Marvels or in the near future. Currently, the X-Men are not a part of the core Marvel Cinematic Universe quite yet. Anyone who has powers has been called, most recently by the Department of Damage Control, «enhanced humans.» There also hasn't been direct mention of mutants or mutant kind until the Ms. Marvel season 1 finale, where Bruno tests Kamala Khan and tells her that she has a mutation in her DNA. She brushes it off as nothing, and the season of the series comes to an end. This is the first time mutants have been mentioned in the MCU's Earth-616. The Earth-838 universe, on the other hand, has mutants as part of the world, as was implied by Professor X's appearance as part of the Illuminati in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
These are the only two references to mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far, and they're both part of the MCU's Phase 4. Since these events happened in the scope of the beginning of Phase 4, it is that much more likely that these are hints that mutants are on their way to the Marvel Universe. The inclusion of Ms. Marvel as a mutant would also change things for the Marvel Universe, as she would be the first Earth-616 mutant that the viewing audience is introduced to.
