Warning: SPOILERS forMs. Marvel Episode 6 — «No Normal»
The ending of Ms. Marvel sets up Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) meeting Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) but their team-up in The Marvels likely won't be smooth sailing as audiences might expect. In the epilogue of Ms. Marvel's finale, «No Normal,» Kamala was mysteriously sent through her bedroom closet door and vanished. An extremely confused Carol emerged from Kamala's closet in her place and fled the room in distress after seeing all of the teenager's Captain Marvel posters and artwork on her walls. It's a clear signal that when Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel meet, they might not get along as well as Kamala would hope.
Although Carol looks to be in her early 30s (Brie Larson is 32 years old), Captain Marvel is actually one of the older superheroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Carol Danvers was infused with the power of the Space Infinity Stone and was abducted by the Kree in 1989. At the time, Carol was in her late 20s. When Danvers returned to Earth and met Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) inCaptain Marvel, it was 1995. Carol then left Earth and was gone until Fury summoned her during Avengers: Infinity War in 2018. Danvers' last known visit to Earth was in Avengers: Endgame when she helped the Avengers defeat Thanos (Josh Brolin) once and for all in 2023. Carol is estimated to have been born around 1967 so by Ms. Marvel's spring 2025 timeframe, Captain Marvel is around 58 years old. Of course, Carol's superpowers keep her from aging just as they protect her from the rigors of flying throughout the galaxy without needing a spaceship.
