The upcoming sequel to Captain Marvel has built up an immense amount of hype, but leaked set photos from The Marvels show that Kamala Khan is getting an entirely redesigned suit. While it has become common for heroes to get different costumes whenever there is a new movie, The Marvels' new suit damages one of Ms. Marvel's most heartwarming scenes.
Acting as the sequel to 2019's Captain Marvel, The Marvels will unite Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, and Monica Rambeau as they take on an all-new intergalactic threat. Being the most recently introduced of the three characters, Kamala's own Disney+ series, Ms. Marvel, recently wrapped up. The show follows her as she tries to balance family, friends, responsibilities, and life as a superhero. Ms. Marvel's ending not only sets up The Marvels, but the season 1 finale also contains one perfect moment between Kamala and her parents.

Throughout the series, Kamala used a homemade suit that was very reminiscent of Carol Danvers' Captain Marvel costume. However, in the Ms. Marvel finale, Kamala's mother finally shows her acceptance by giving Kamala an all-new suit, one that better represents her powers, culture, and uniqueness. While this costume is the one that was used to advertise the series, Kamala doesn't actually get it until this sweet scene at the end of the series. Essentially, Kamala's suit represents the conclusion of her character arc throughout the show. Sadly, because Kamala is getting another costume change in the upcoming movie, it seems like The Marvels is throwing all that away.
