EA Sports has released a new deep dive into Franchise Mode, revealing some of the changes made to the fan-favorite game mode.
After releasing some ratings and other information about gameplay earlier this month, EA Sports has turned its focus to Franchise Mode, one of the core game modes found in Madden. According to EA Sports, this year the company is focusing on three main pillars for Franchise Mode: immersion, customization, and depth and core improvements.
Madden NFL 25 is scheduled to release on August 16, 2024, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

In the deep dive video and a subsequent blog post detailing some of the changes, EA Sports fully broke down what fans can expect in Madden NFL 25’s Franchise Mode. In an effort to make the game feel more “alive and more engaging,” more than 70 brand new dynamic storylines have been added to the mode, to make it feel like you’re actually running a team.
Things like players showing up out of shape, making promises to players, or even bragging to the media and having to answer for it are now in the game. The NFL Draft has also been changed to include a more immersive draft night experience. A new prospect board makes going through players easier, and draft grades will now pop up as you pick, letting you know how you did in real-time.
Other key changes to the mode include an upgrade to Franchise Central (the hub for Franchise Mode), the ability to design your own team from the ground up, and changes to animations, player and coach likeness, and more.
