Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind Roster Adds Unlockable Fan Favorite Ranger
Happy !To celebrate, revealed a fan favorite Ranger is unlockable in its upcoming retro-inspired game .
On its official Twitter, Digital Eclipse announced the Green Ranger as an unlockable character in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind. According to the tweet, Tommy’s origin story is part of the game’s narrative. As such, players unlock the fan favorite Ranger by completing the campaign.

Here is the official story description for the upcoming Digital Eclipse game:
“In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, the team faces off against a robotic reincarnation of the Power Rangers’ long-time nemesis. Robo-Rita has conjured a portal to send herself back in time so she can finally vanquish the Power Rangers by forming an alliance with her younger self. Working together, Robo-Rita and Rita Repulsa rewind, rewrite, and remix the past in an attempt to stop the very formation of the Power Rangers, altering the course of history.”
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind was revealed in June during Summer Game Fest. The side-scrolling beat ’em up features online and offline co-op allowing players to select their favorite Ranger from the original series. It is meant to celebrate Power Rangers’ 30th anniversary in gaming.
The Green Ranger Tommy Oliver first appeared in Season 1 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He is portrayed by Jason David Frank, who — at 236 episodes — appeared than any other Ranger. He passed away back in 2022.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind is still slated for a 2024 release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox
