Apple plans to announce the new iPad Pro models with an M3 chip next year in Spring. The M3 chip will be based on TSMC's 3nm architecture which will further extend the capabilities of the iPad Pro. With the 3nm processor, the iPad Pro will be significantly faster than the current generation models. However, a leaker claims on Twitter that the M3 iPad Pro will feature an OLED panel for better colors and sharper images. Earlier reports suggested that both 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models would adopt OLED display technology.
Apple's M3 chip will not be exclusive to the iPad Pro lineup. The company will see fit to incorporate the chip in the upgraded MacBook Air models. It was previously reported that Apple is working on a new 15.5-inch MacBook Air model which is expected to launch at WWDC 2023 event on June 5. It was also reported that the machine will be powered by Apple's M2 chip instead of an M3 chip.
