Love & Thunder's Naked Thor Scene Was Surprisingly Difficult To Film
According to Barry Bas Idoine, the director of photography behind Thor: Love & Thunder, the cast and crew had a difficult time shooting Chris Hemsworth's nude scene. The upcoming MCU feature follows Thor as he sets off on an expedition to discover himself, with the help of familiar faces like Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi), and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who now shares his power as the Mighty Thor. Returning to write and direct after the success of Thor: Ragnarok, Waititi has described Thor: Love & Thunder as a romantic comedy with drama, tragedy, humor, and sincerity. The trailer showcases a bit of all of this, including the shocking moment when Hemsworth appears stark naked in front of an arena crowd.
Over the decade Hemsworth has performed as Thor, his physique has always been a topic of conversation, whether it was the incredibly chiseled, muscular stature of Thor in his prime, or the post-Thanos dad-bod that fans adored. Love & Thunder starts with Endgame's Fat Thor on a mission to get back in the game and rebuild his muscle mass, which he apparently ends up showing off in more detail than he probably intended. One step on his journey is to pay a visit to Zeus (Russel Crowe), who strips Thor down to nothing but his skin in an attempt to remove a disguise the hero was wearing. The clip has riled audiences up, as they hope to see an uncensored version of the clip in the final film.
