Chris Hemsworth has divulged whether he wants to return to the MCU after Thor: Love and Thunder. Love and Thunder is the fourth solo film to feature the Asgardian hero Thor, the God of Thunder. It is the second film in the series to be directed by Taika Waititi after 2017's Thor: Ragnarok, who will also be returning as the voice of the CG character Korg. The film will also see the return of Thor's love interest Jane Foster, the astrophysicist played by Natalie Portman. However, this time she will be wielding Thor's hammer Mjolnir, having gained her own powers and taken on the mantle The Mighty Thor.
In addition to his three extant solo films (Love and Thunder comes out on July 8), Hemsworth has reprised the role in several Marvel crossover films since his debut in 2011. In addition to his appearances in the four Avengers films, he has voiced the character on two episodes of the Disney+ animated series What If...?. While his newest film is potentially setting up The Mighty Thor to take over for the hero, should he choose to retire, Thor has been one of the most consistent characters to appear in the MCU since its inception.
