MCU fans have pointed out a baffling inconsistency over Korg's origin story in Thor: Love and Thunder. Korg is played by director Taika Waititi in the MCU, making his debut in Thor: Ragnarok. Waititi directed both Ragnarok and Love and Thunder where he played the Kronan warrior alongside the Sakaaran insectoid Miek, who befriend Chris Hemsworth's Thor and become close friends.
Upon meeting Thor in Thor: Ragnarok, Korg tells The God of Thunder that he started a revolution on the planet, but that only his mom and her boyfriend showed up. In Thor: Love and Thunder, Korg tells a different story about his parents, saying that he had two dads who created him in a river of lava by joining hands, which is somewhat accurate to the comics. In Incredible Hulk #94, Korg's parents are named as O-Korg and Ahna and it's revealed in World War Hulk: Aftersmash: Warbound #4 that Kronans are genderless, perhaps all male, and that newborns are formed when two adult Kronans enter a lava river and break apart together to form a new Kronan.
