Among the changes Thor: Love and Thunder introduced to the MCU is the prominence of Ms. Marvel’s Kamala Khan in the updated MCU logo. Theatrically released on July 8, 2022, Love and Thunder is the second Thor installment directed by Taika Waititi, whose take on the God of Thunder revolutionized the way his stories are being told. With this movie, Thor became the first Avenger to get a fourth solo movie, and he's only the third superhero introduced in a previous MCU Phase to receive a Phase 4 theatrical release, after Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Phase 4 of the MCU has been characterized more by the development of TV shows rather than movies. The first Marvel shows released straight to Disney+, like Hawkeye and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, centered on seasoned superheroes and already known characters. More recent shows introduced new heroes, as in the cases of Moon Knight and Ms. Marvel. While Moon Knight's titular character felt detached from the rest of the MCU, though, Ms. Marvel's Kamala Khan (played by Iman Vellani) was immediately involved in everything that had to do with the Avengers and especially Captain Marvel.

Kamala Khan's centrality to the MCU has been backed up by Thor: Love and Thunder, which features an updated Marvel logo including Kamala as Ms. Marvel in one of its most prominent positions. Multiple Avengers from Marvel Phases 1-3 appear in the logo, along with members of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Dora Milaje, and even Doctor Strange, Falcon, and Hawkeye.
