Teasers for Thor: Love & Thunder have explained a rumored connection to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Marvel has come a long way since introducing their first pantheon in 2011's Thor. Back then, the studio was unsure whether supernatural beings would fit well with the pseudoscience-based shared universe they were building; that's why the Odinson even had a line in which he claimed to come from a place where magic and science were one and the same thing. Now, though, the MCU has become a whole lot more confident — introducing Egyptian gods in Moon-Knight and Russell Crowe as Zeus in Thor: Love & Thunder.
For months there have been rumors Zeus would not be the only divine being to make their MCU debut in Thor: Love & Thunder. There have been consistent reports that Akosia Sabet would appear as Bast, Wakanda's Panther God. Promotional images have seemed to confirm this, with one shot showing Valkyrie and Jane Foster's Mighty Thor seated on thrones above Sabet — whose costume seems deliberately stylized on that of a black panther. All this has naturally led to intense speculation about just where Bast could fit into the plot.

TV spots for Thor: Love & Thunder seem to have explained how such a cameo could fit in, however. Viewers had initially believed shots of Russell Crowe's Zeus showed him making a speech in Olympus, home of the Greek gods, but that no longer seems to be the case. Now, exterior shots of the structure have confirmed it is based on Omnipotence City, introduced in Jason Aaron's Thor run.
