Level Infinite showed up to The Game Awards with several trailers, with one being the reveal of Sharkmob’s multiplayer extraction shooter Exoborne. The game is in development for PC and consoles, and doesn’t currently have a release window, though the creators promised more information in 2024.
Exoborne is set somewhere in the southeastern U.S. after the world has become engulfed in some kind of natural cataclysm. Players must complete their missions with the help of their Exo-Rig power armor, and anything they can craft and customize on the field. They’re fighting the forces of nature in a story that Sharkmob says will evolve and set up new mysteries within the world.
Petter Mannerfelt, Sharkmob’s creative director, said in a statement, “Exoborne is not just a game to us, it’s so much more than that! This is a long time in the making. We are excited to finally reveal it to the world and hear what people think about both the universe and the thrilling, action-packed playground we have created.”
