Lenovo has unveiled its high-end Yoga Portal Mini PC featuring desktop-grade Intel 14th Gen CPUs, up to RTX 4070 GPUs & massive IO capabilities.
Lenovo has officially launched one of the smallest and most powerful mini PCs on the Chinese retail store JD.com, featuring desktop hardware for high performance.
The mini PC is named Lenovo Yoga Portal, featuring a cube-shaped chassis that uses the latest generation Intel Core i7 14700 processor for high productivity & multitasking. The cube measures just 195mm x 203mm x 108mm, weighs just 3.5 kg, and offers a minimalist design for building a gaming/productivity setup.
The CPU of choice is the desktop-grade Intel Core i7-14700 which features 20 cores, 28 threads, a base clock of 2.1 GHz, a boost clock of up to 5.4 GHz, and 61 MB of cache. The CPU has a base TDP of 65W but can support a maximum turbo power of up to 219W. It will be interesting to see if Core i9 65W options can be accommodated in this chassis and power layout but given the 350W PSU, that may have to be toned down a bit.
The Lenovo Yoga Portal uses a custom desktop-grade NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 12GB graphics card. The configuration includes 32GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB of M.2 PCI-E 4.0 SSD storage space (both of which are fully upgradable) for keeping up with the modern workload.
The graphics card has the same PCB as the desktop option and comes with a 16-pin power connector while using a copper heatsink with several heat pipes & a large blower fan. The Lenovo Yoga Portal uses a highly compact yet incredibly effective cooling solution, consisting dense heatsink and a blower fan for the RTX 4070, dissipating the heat from the vents at the back.
