Mojang's smash hit Minecraft boasted the highest monthly active users figure for the month of July.
That's according to Newzoo's rankings for the US, UK, France, Germany, Spain and Italy, which shows that the blockbuster came in ahead of Roblox in second place. Minecraft was last month's No.1, too, while Roblox rose up one position month-on-month.
Fortnite fell one place to No.3, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, 3 and Warzone 2 held steady in fourth place. The Sims 4 shot up 23 positions to fifth – though this is likely due to a data problem for the previous month – while League of Legends rose up one position to sixth. Fellow Riot Games title Valorant shot up third place to No.7.
While Valorant was in the bottom half of the MAU Top Ten, Riot's free-to-play shooter drew in the highest revenue of any PC title for the month – same as back in June. Second place went to Fortnite, which rose up two places to No.2, ahead of The Sims 4, which shot up seventh positions to third. League of Legends also rose up five places to No.4, ahead of World of Warcraft which shot up third to No.5.
