Following a number of hints that would be receiving a PC port, a new update implies that the port could be coming very soon. Developed by Rockstar Games, was originally released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2010, and while it later received ports to the PS4 and Nintendo Switch in 2023, the game has never been officially made available to play on PC platforms. As more console exclusives make their way to PC, however, it seems like might not be too far behind.
As shown in a tweet from TezFunz2 on X (formerly Twitter), a datamined update to Rockstar's launcher site suggests that a PC port of is coming sooner rather than later, with one datamined string describing the game as "" Additionally, another tweet from TezFunz2 shows that a backend Steam update has also accidentally added the metadata for the game as well.
Currently, however, no official announcements have been made regarding the port, leaving any sort of potential release date still up in the air.
While Rockstar has yet to make any official statements, the PC port for was leaked when its listing on the PlayStation Store was updated in August 2024 to mention that the game was "" The description has since been updated to remove that line, but in conjunction with previous datamines of Rockstar's website and the most recent update, it's all but certain that an announcement for on PC is quickly approaching.
The PlayStation Store may have just revealed Red Dead Redemption's launch on PC is imminent, and it has the potential to be the best version yet.
Notably, and are already available on PC, having been ported to the platform in 2019, and Rockstar's other games, like the series, have generally been made available on the platform as well, so there's ample precedent for a port. An official announcement for the port could show up at an upcoming game event, like The Game Awards 2024, but the possibility of the port simply being announced on its own is also likely.
