Max has unveiled the first-look photos and release date for, an upcoming romantic comedy starring Kiernan Shipka (Totally Killer) and Nico Hiraga (Love in Taipei).
The forthcoming series will center on two best friends’ pact over a “Thanksgiving they’ll never forget.” It serves as Dollface creator Jordan Weiss’s directorial debut. The director also co-wrote the script alongside Dan Brier.
“Two college freshmen make a pact to break up with their high school sweethearts over Thanksgiving break, leading them on a chaotic night out in their hometown that puts their codependent friendship to the test,” the logline reads.

The Max Original film is set to debut on the streamer on Thursday, November 28. In addition to Kiernan and Hiraga, Sweethearts will also feature the likes of Caleb Hearon (I Used To Be Funny), Tramell Tillman (Severance), Ava Demary (After Yang), Charlie Hall (The Sex Lives of College Girls), Joel Kim Booster (Fire Island), and Christine Taylor (The Brady Bunch Movie).
Hailing from New Line Cinema, Picturestart, and Weiss, the forthcoming romantic comedy is produced by Picturestart’s Erik Feig and Jessica Switch, with Picturestart’s Julia Hammer, Samie Kim Falvey, and Shayne Fiske Goldner as executive producers. Both Weiss and Brier also serve as the film’s executive producers.
Kiernan, known for her role as Sabrina Spellman in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, has also starred in features like Very Good Girls, One & Two, The Blackcoat’s Daughter, The Silence, Let It Snow, Wildflower, Longlegs, and Twisters. She can next be seen in the upcoming Christmas action comedy Red One, opposite Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans.
Hiraga, on the other hand, starred in Skate Kitchen, Booksmart, North Hollywood, Moxie, Rosaline, and Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between. He is also one of the cast members in Amazon Prime Video’s The Power.
