Earlier this month, we reported that OnePlus Open had been allegedly delayed. While at that time, the sources suggested that it was happening because OnePlus was moving to panels from Samsung Display rather than the BOE, but the latest renders that have surfaced just now tell us that there is more than just a change of panel.
Coming from OnLeaks and SmartPrix, the latest renders show that the foldable now has a much rounder screen on the outside, and not just that, the OnePlus Open also seems to have a design that is a lot similar to Pixel Fold than it is to the Galaxy Z Flip 5. While the reason behind this change is still unknown, I am glad that the company made this design decision because it makes the foldable much more compact and pocketable. Foldable phones can be massive in hand and feel out of place, but this design choice takes care of it, as it helps make it more ergonomic.
The source has revealed that the camera has also received a significant upgrade over the previous one. The new camera module is larger than the last one. You are getting three large sensors n the back, including a periscope telephoto camera. There is a possibility of either a Time of Flight (ToF) or a LiDAR sensor that will be under the Hasselblad branding. The front-facing camera has also been moved to the right from the left.
