Footage of the Nintendo Switch version of EA Sports FC 24 has appeared online.
Invites for the game’s closed beta were sent out on Wednesday on all platforms. The Switch footage, which is recorded via a camera pointing at a Nintendo Switch in handheld mode, shows a match between Barcelona and Manchester City.
The footage, which can be seen below, features kits and player stats from last year’s game, but this is consistent with past betas in the FIFA series.
In order to participate in the beta, players must agree not to share any footage of the game, such as steaming it online. The player’s EA Sports ID is shown throughout the game in order to prevent this.
Unlike previous years, EA FC 24 on Nintendo Switch will be an entirely new game to its predecessor.
For the first time, the Nintendo Switch version of the game will be running on the Frostbite Engine. The Nintendo Switch version will also get the full Ultimate Team experience, unlike recent FIFA entrees on the system which have largely featured a limited version of the mode.

According to EA, the Nintendo Switch version of the game is now similar to that of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
EA Sports recently detailed FC Ultimate Team for the first time. The mode, which returns from the FIFA series, sees players build their ultimate squad of players from across the world. For the first time ever, this now includes female players.
