Sony Santa Monica Studio has deployed God of War Ragnarok Update 05.03, packing various fixes and nerfing the Tyr boss fight in the free Valhalla DLC.
The free rogue-like Valhalla expansion was released last week, packing an endgame challenge that, according to the expansion's director, none of the development team had completed. Fast forward one week, and we now have an update for both the main game and Valhalla that addresses several annoying issues that players have encountered. In addition, this update reduces the difficulty of the first Týr fight on the 'Show Me Will' difficulty setting, increases the difficulty for some arena challenges, and more. Players will also be happy to learn that this brand-new patch contains various balance updates and tweaks. Also, the update includes some UI/UX improvements alongside fixes for crashes as well as a memory leak on PS4.
We suggest reading the full patch notes for this new update here, as released by Santa Monica Studio. If enabled, this update will be downloaded and installed automatically on your console. On X, the studio warns PS5 players to fully update both the main game and Valhalla before accessing the game again.
❗️ PS5 players ❗️
Please ensure that both God of War Ragnarök and God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla have been fully updated before accessing the game again.
