Ah, Lae'zel. She might give off the vibe that she wants nothing to do with you, or anything in Faerûn for that matter, but her romance tells a very different story indeed. When Baldur's Gate 3 first launched, she was the easiest companion to rizz into the bedroll. It was so easy to pull off that it became its own speedrunning category - Sex%.
Alas, the days of a quick romp with Lae'zel are over. As of Patch 4 for Baldur's Gate 3, you're no longer able to woo her within minutes of booting up the game. Now, it seems that you'll have to hit certain story beats before she'll consider getting down and dirty with you, meaning speedrunners will have to find a new route altogether.
The patch notes don't make it clear how this works exactly, but it does tell us that our days of convincing Lae to lay with us just minutes into our adventure are over:
"For Lae'zel to decide to romance you, you no longer only need to gain high enough approval from her. You must also have proven yourself worthy through your actions."
To be fair, this is pretty in character for her. While she's certainly no prude, she's hardly buddy-buddy with you at the start of the game. She has standards, after all. In fact, for as easy as everyone tells me the Lae'zel romance is, I've only ever been shot down by her, as she criticizes me for being "prodded and picked over" by everyone else at camp. In fairness, she's right - I had three other active romances at the time. Not even sorry.
It remains to be seen how the Sex% speedrunning community recovers. They might just continue playing on an earlier patch since this allowed you to get with Lae'zel in under two minutes if you knew what you were doing. If they keep playing on the most recent patch though, they might
