As shown on IGN, the new trailer emphasizes its 3v7 format, reminding audiences that in order to win, players must stay alive long enough to escape the area, ganging up on the Klowns and making a break for safe zones after pummeling them. Killer Klowns from Outer Space appears most similar to asymmetrical multiplayer horror games like Dead By Daylight. However, this game has plenty of personality to distinguish itself. The highly stylized visuals and voice acting add charm and ooze with '80s nostalgia.
