PlayStation 5 players in the USA may be in for a major upgrade to their Explore page, as showcased by content creator Mystic. This update still seems to be in beta, so not all USA users will see this change on their PS5 at the moment. However, given Sony's tendency to conduct beta tests before rolling out significant upgrades, it's only a matter of time before all users can enjoy the new Explore page. Also, it's worth mentioning that only USA accounts can access the Explore functionality, and Sony has never explained why.

Since the PlayStation 5 release in 2020, many players have been vocal about its dashboard, considering it a downgrade from the existing dashboard on the PlayStation 4. On Sony's previous console, players could customize the background or change their entire PS4 theme. Additionally, it was possible to see friends' activity, such as which games they started playing and which trophies they earned, as well as various other account information of the logged-in user. After years, Sony has finally taken players' feedback to heart.

As demonstrated by the popular content creator Mystic, apparently Sony is gearing up to release new updates to the PlayStation 5 dashboard that will drastically alter the Explore page. The new Explore page has added widgets that show the batteries of the DualSense and other connected peripherals, the console's storage, the account's wish list, and the activity of the player's friends. Additionally, users can change the Explore background image by choosing from a set of Sony's predefined images or using a screenshot from their personal gallery.

It's a considerable improvement from the current Explore page, whose widgets only provide news on games followed by the user, which friends are online, and the number of trophies the account has. If users scroll through the Explore page, they can see further updates from their games of interest and news about the PlayStation ecosystem, such as information about the PSVR2 system for the PS5 or
